About a year ago, a mysterious package arrived at the door. It was a few days before my birthday, though it’s rare for me to receive many presents these days. And it wasn’t something I had ordered or was expecting. It was addressed to me, but there were no details of the sender. No name, no location.
Inside, however, was an amazing gift: a truly spectacular garment.
A Motorhead poncho.

The legendary Snaggletooth logo of the band is emblazoned on the poncho. It’s a smooth, comfortable material in shades of brown, reminiscent of the one worn by Clint Eastwood in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Draped over the shoulder, rather than poking your head through a hole in the centre, this is an authentic and truly wonderful item of clothing.
A combination of The Man With No Name and my old friend Lemmy, what could be better? The iconic cover of the Ace of Spades album was brought to life, in a way.
Who had sent it? And why? It would have to be someone who knew of my love of both Motorhead and Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western films. I had my suspicions, and eventually I would be proven right – but I won’t divulge that identity here, though my gratitude is eternal.
Instead, gaze upon the magnificent Poncho – and revel in its glory. It is the epitome of comfort and STYLE.
